Ricardo Johnson

Night Ops

Primarily working night shift, Ricardo looks for opportunities to encourage all employees to work and be safe.

Receiving an Occupational Science degree from Redstone College in Colorado,

he is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp with over 8 years experience in Safety and Logistics, including over 6 years in the Oil and Gas field 

where he performed numerous roles ranging from Field Service Technician (wellhead installation) to Facility Safety Representative. He looks forward to working with the safety team making a positive change in our safety culture for our fellow employees and customers.


Alex Rees


Alex worked 15 years in coal mining. While working underground, he was involved in an accident that took his life. Because of excellent people he worked with, he was brought back. Since that experience, Alex is very passionate about Safety and is now a PEC Safety Instructor, First Aid, CPR & AED instructor and a

Confined Space instructor.

Originally from Wales, U.K. he met his wife in college before moving to the U.S.

 He enjoys being a father of two young ladies and a grandfather of two (soon to be three!). He loves mountain biking and sky diving.

Nathan Shaffer


Nathan has over 20 years of fire services, emergency response and occupational safety experience holding a Masters of Public Health (MPH) from American Public University School of Health Science and a B.S. in Occupational Safety and Health along with an A.A.S. in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University. He's an accredited PSFA Instructor as well as a State EMS Instructor, an authorized OSHA General Industry trainer, a Professional Member of (ASSE) and Full Member of (AIHA).

He's currently serving as a firefighter, a Hazmat and Rescue Technician, a Paramedic with (SMRT), and a Safety Officer for (PA-ST1) Urban Search and Rescue Team. Nathan's certifications include; CIH, CSP, CHMM and national certifications as Airport Firefighter, Fire Officer IV, Fire Services Instructor III and Hazardous Materials Tech through the NPQS Board....and a National Registered Paramedic. 

Amanda Altieri

Amanda was born and raised in Washington, PA and graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Heath, and Safety Management. Amanda is a certified Graduate Safety Professional (GSP) and an Associate Safety and Health Manager (ASHM). Amanda’s father was severely injured on the job when she was in high school, so she learned at a young age how workplace injuries can affect every aspect of a person’s life and family. Amanda is passionate about every employee returning home safely from work each day. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, going to her camp, and Pittsburgh sports. She loves Jesus and her daughter Devan with her whole heart. 

Thomas J. Price, Jr.


Tom has been working the safety field for nearly 25 years, and has held professional safety and trainer positions in manufacturing, construction, environmental, sales and service, health care and insurance loss control. He is a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC), Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Certified Fire Inspector Level I (CFI-I) and certified to handle Hazardous Materials at the Operations Level (HM-O).

This experience has been in conjunction with over 35 years in Fire and Emergency Services where he has been certified in as a Fire Fighter III, Fire Officer I, Fire Instructor I, Hazardous Materials, Emergency Medical Services, and as a General and Vehicle Rescue Technician.Tom is also a PSFA Non-Suppression Fire Instructor. His education includes a B.S. in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of PA, and a Bachelor of Arts from Duquesne University. His outside interests include boating, fishing, travel and going SCUBA diving every chance he gets. Tom is an Advanced Open Water Diver with over 75 dives in 18 years.

He is a safety professional by vocation, fire fighter / rescue technician by avocation, and a deep-sea diver just for fun.
